A networked wireless re alarm system, designed to protect timber- framed apartments situated above the retail shop outlets and communal areas during construction was supplied and installed by wireless re alarms specialist Fire Systems Ltd. To protect the large complex comprising of eight external blocks, an independent wireless re alarm system was tted in each, interfaced on a wireless network to enable the re signals from each block to be transmitted back to the security o ce. The system, based around a single loop Kentec Syncro AS analogue addressable re alarm control panel, used Argus open communications protocol with Argus wireless detectors. With over 300 workers on the site at any time during the two-year program, added to the constantly changing framework of all the buildings
