UK utilities provider, a major provider of essential services, has enhanced its cyber protection with IBM Predatar and IBM to ensure uninterrupted services. The company, which supplies over 5.2 million homes and 150,000 businesses, aims to minimize the risk of service interruptions by protecting critical systems from ransomware. The Predatar SaaS solution, running on IBM Cloud, creates and manages an offsite, airgapped third copy of backup data, integrating with the existing IBM Storage Protect environment. The solution uses built-in antivirus tools to scan backups for malware and tests any suspected anomalies in a sandbox environment.
