When the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), needed to deploy walk-through metal detectors (WTMDs) for the 104th Rose Bowl Game, held on Jan. 1, 2018, in Pasadena, California, the Leidos team stepped in to help. Beefing up security for the large, high-profile sporting event came with several challenges, including the number of visitors that were expected to attend and a limited set-up time for installing security systems in an outdoor space.
