Irving Chemistry Centre, University of Prince Edward Island, Charlottetown, P.E.l. In the fall of 1996, the K.C. Irving Chemistry Centre was opened on time and on budget. The building is home to the University=s chemistry department which, over the years, has gained an international reputation for its research and development around the world. The 25,000 sq. ft building is an "L"-shape, with classrooms and freshman laboratory located on the ground floor, and senior labs, offices, and research wing on the second floor.
