BMW Group partnered with Capgemini Invent and SAP to implement a data analytics solution aimed at optimizing demand planning for vehicle test parts. Facing supply chain challenges, particularly with high demand for vehicle parts, BMW sought a tool to improve forecasting and minimize supply bottlenecks. The new system, built on SAP Analytics Cloud, provides a centralized, transparent view of parts requirements, ensuring optimal supply, reducing bottlenecks, and lowering scrapping costs. The solution automates data processes, enhances data quality, and offers user-friendly access, helping BMW achieve more efficient product development operations.
