An autonomous service and research unit of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, the CSCS works closely with Swiss higher education institutions, ETH Research Sta- tions, CERN, the national meteorological service and other research institutes, including international ones. In the field of computer-assisted science the CSCS is consi- dered to be Switzerland’s central contact, with both the tech- nical resources and know-how to make HPC possible in the first place.
