Porsche Project Innovative Piering was awarded the contract to furnish and install the helical piers required to support the new D-Patrick Porsche Showroom. Soft, sandy soils were present at the site near the Ohio River bed, prompting the engineers to specify helical piles as a permanent solution for a deep foundation system. The scope of this project consisted of installing 177 grouted helical piles. All of the piles were specified to be Sch.80 materials to achieve greater lateral capabilities.
