Individual-Patient Medical Fluid Bags CHALLENGE Methode was approached to develop a lightweight and portable sensor capable of determining capacity levels on medical uid bags, for use by individual patients. SOLUTION Our team developed a small, semi-disposable sensor that could be secured to the side of a medical bag, and would communicate to the patient when capacity was being reached via sensory cues. STORY Patients lacking incontinence control expressed the need to be notied when bags were nearing full capacity. Our sensor team designed semi- disposable, through-wall uid detection sensors that use eld-eect technology to determine when liquid levels reach a critical point and alert users.
