The main foci were two major potentially toxic cyanobacterial species associated with algal bloom events in the Great Lakes region of the United States. The survey also included two genera and species of diatoms and one species of green algae. The study analyzed the precision and accuracy of the technique’s ability to identify algal cultures as well as resolve and qua
