How DATEV Used Confluent to Unlock Its Mainframe Data to Build Cloud-Native Applications
DATEV, a German software and consulting services provider, supports over two and a half million businesses with financial accounting software. To stay competitive and meet customer needs for digital transformation, DATEV began transitioning to a cloud-native architecture. They partnered with Confluent to implement an event-driven, microservices-based architecture that integrates mainframe and cloud-native applications. This shift improved scalability, unlocked mainframe data, and reduced processing costs. Confluent also provided essential support and training, enabling over 100 microservice-based use cases. DATEV plans to further explore real-time event processing, machine learning, and expand their self-service offerings for customers.
