The location of one entrance, next to the main line rail, created the perfect solution to transport cement produced in Derbyshire to the new depot in Dagenham for bagging. The building was to be used to house a state-of-the-art distribution and packing warehouse handling 40,000 tonnes per year of their own high performance cement, concrete, aggregates and asphalt products.
