When designing a new door entry system for the Quaker Court Social Housing site, a key requirement was that the remote tenant management o ce should be able to contact both the residents and the entrance panels through the door entry system. Although this would usually be possible through using a concierge system and a hardwired connection between the blocks (that were located some half a mile away), the budgetary restraints on the project ruled out this option.
