A high-end kitchenware retailer relied on enVista to design and launch a new west coast distribution center to relieve overloaded Memphis facilities and improve delivery times. enVista created the full facility layout, planned extensive automation including 15 miles of conveyors and 48,000 goods-to-person totes, and implemented MHE, SLAM lines, WES integration and supporting technology. The new center reduced Memphis volume by 40 percent, cut manpower needs by 90 percent and improved workflow, inventory accuracy and user adoption through standardized WMS processes.
