Henry Mitchem Equipment Company In 1969 Henry Mitchem was a rep for a manufacturer. When that company went out of business Henry decided to go out on his own. With a $20,000 loan he started Henry Mitchem Equipment Company, a wholesale distributor of farm implements to tractor dealers in Florida, Georgia, and parts of Alabama. Henry set up shop in a small warehouse he rented in Leesburg, Florida. He made some great contacts with farm equipment suppliers in many states as well as other countries. The goods included hay-making equipment, hay-handling tools, AG sprayers, tillage tools, rotary cutters, disc harrows, and more!
