HDPV2 Gate Handling Dry, Colored Pigment Client: A printing company. Quantity: 2 Vortex HDPV2 Gates Size: 10 in. (254 mm) Features: Gate body & material contact areas constructed from 304 stainless steel. Gate’s seals constructed from nylon & PET. Application: Source a slide gate capable of sealing fine powders and also seal against vapors originating from the mix tank directly below. The purpose of the gate is to convey dry pigments from a weigh bin into a mix tank to create liquid ink. Results:Special slide gates were required for this application. Because of the solvent nature of vapors created in the mix tank below, it was unacceptable for the sourced valve to feature silicone rubber seals.
