George Wilkinson George Wilkinson (Burnley) Ltd is a famous for the Progress range of housewares. The 4th largest company in the industry, Wilkinson manufactures and sells a wide range of bakeware, cookware, plastics, tools and gadgets. Based in Burnley the company exports its products to over 50 countries. Following a fire in June 1997, the company had to build a new warehouse which offers ten times the storage volume of its predecessor, and has a state-of-the-art high bay facility. Designed around a central access aisle two blocks of Redirack racking are arranged to offer the maximum number of storage locations. The scheme has narrow aisles and rises to 12 metres.
