Alongside its extensive range of standard products, a leading supplier of seals for very high-specication applications, in chemical engineering, biotechnology and food production for example, oers customised seal solutions, which are manufactured in small batch sizes. That is why production at its German site is geared up for maximum exibility at a consistently high quality. Plastic seals, for example, are made to order using a water jet cutter. Here a sheet of the seal material is laid on the bench and held in place by compressed air. An ultra-thin water jet under a pressure of around 4000 bar then cuts out a pre-programmed shape.
