Alongside its extensive range of standard products, a leading supplier of seals for very high-speci cation applications, in chemical engineering, biotechnology and food production for example, o ers customised seal solutions, which are manufactured in small batch sizes. That is why production at its German site is geared up for maximum exibility at a consistently high quality. Plastic seals, for example, are made to order using a water jet cutter. Here a sheet of the seal material is laid on the bench and held in place by compressed air. An ultra-thin water jet under a pressure of around 4000 bar then cuts out a pre-programmed shape.
