Fujitsu and Botanical Water Technologies create the world’s first global water trading platform using Hyperledger Fabric
Fujitsu and Botanical Water Technologies (BWT) collaborated to create the world’s first global water trading platform, Botanical Water Exchange (BWX), using Hyperledger Fabric. This blockchain-based platform tracks and certifies water recovered from fruit and vegetable processing, enabling it to be traded, donated, or used for corporate sustainability efforts. With a goal of providing clean water to 100 million people by 2025, BWX addresses water scarcity by securely connecting producers and buyers while ensuring transparency. The use of blockchain ensures accurate tracking, verification, and secure transactions, making a significant environmental and social impact.
