Frostburg State University Lane Center Project Type: Higher Education LEED Rating System: New Construction Certification Level: Gold This design project for Frostburg State University Lane Center consists of a new 8,000 square-foot bookstore addition to an existing 64,000 square foot student center which supports student activities for the college including food service, meeting rooms, student organization rooms, and fitness center. Design and construction goals for this project were to meet a minimum certification level of LEED silver. With the collaboration of the design team, the project focused on the renovation and was able to salvage and reuse a great deal of the existing building; and in turn successfully achieve a LEED Gold certification.
