Forest Holme Hospice, Poole
Forest Holme Hospice in Poole, Dorset, cares for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. They were operating their heating system on two Hamworthy UR atmospheric boilers that were more than 20 years old and ine cient. The hospice was undergoing a £1m refurbishment to change the layout of the building and bring the beds downstairs to enable patients easy access to the garden. The Solution Hamworthy donated two Purewell VariHeat cast iron high e ciency 65kW boilers as part of the project to upgrade their heating system. These boilers, along with the two existing Dorchester water heaters are providing the heating and hot water for the 12-bed hospice.
