In 2012, FAU became a member of the Sunshine State Education & Research Computing Alliance (SSERCA), which provides HPC resources to researchers, students, and academics. The Challenge FAU’s Office of Information Technology received funding through the student tech fee in 2013 to create the first set of 20 nodes in what became Ko’Ko.
