Case Study The Challenge The Finchley Road Station SER project re- quired foundations designing and installing for a new signalling structure. The site was a highly sensitive rail site which had limited headroom and extremely tight working space restrictions. The working area was essentially an island surrounded on all sides by live network rail infrastructure and complicated further by the presence of the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines of the London Underground . The nature of situation of the site was that there was no area to store materials and no clear access to mobilise equipment to the pil- ing area.
