FEDERAL MISSION: ENHANCING CROSS DOMAIN SOLUTIONS WITH ATTRIBUTE BASED ACCESS CONTROL (ABAC)
United States federal agencies require sufficient filtering to prevent the spillage of USG classified or sensitive information between two or more connected domains of varying levels of security accreditation, or domains owned by foreign governments. Agencies look to Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) to transfer information between these domains in a way that ensures the timely sharing of information while still maintaining confidentiality and integrity . Depending on the agency’s security requirements, the CDS may contain a discretionary access control model to better facilitate dissemination of information to achieve the warfighter’s mission.
