Excellence Achieved in Government Digital Services The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) is the official Paying Agency for all EU agricultural support schemes in Ireland under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Agriculture is very important to the Irish economy, responsible for 7.7% of employment and 10.5% of total exports. The department administers a budget in excess of €2.5billon. Version 1 has partnered with the Department since 2014 in the design, development and support of all the core systems which enable the payments of all EU agricultural support schemes in Ireland under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
