PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Entergy Louisiana provides electric service to more than one million customers in 58 parishes (communities). The 20-mile stretch of service between Madisonville and Ponchatoula in Southeast Louisiana has been delivered across a system of electricity poles constructed in the 1960s. Located in dense, dangerous swampland, Highlines Construction used QUIKRETE ® 5000 Concrete Mix because of its high-early strength gain to replace the network of 114 electricity poles battered by years of weather. The aquatic environment required the assistance of airboats, helicopters, floating cranes and barges to deliver, stage and place all materials.
