Enhancing Cellular Connectivity with Celona Neutral Host
Stanford Health Care faced poor in-building cell coverage due to energy-efficient construction, impacting staff and patient communication. They partnered with Celona to deploy a Neutral Host private 5G network, enhancing cellular coverage for AT&T and T-Mobile users while improving private clinical workflows. Results include 6,000+ unique connections daily, reduced missed calls, 30–50% lower costs compared to DAS, and improved operational efficiency. Expansion is underway to four more facilities, with plans for 50,000+ connected devices. Stanford is now positioned as a leader in next-generation healthcare connectivity.
