Caruna, an electricity distribution company established in 2014, delivers electric power to 683,000 customers in Finland. The company has around 300 employees, and its network of partners includes an additional 1,000 people throughout Finland. M-Files began working with Caruna in 2016 after the company decided to purchase an enterprise content management (ECM) system to digitize its operations. Before this, Caruna did not have an official document management system in place. Instead, information was mostly saved on SharePoint and network folders without any management of the content and without advanced access privileges.
