Edmonton Tunnel City Edmonton, AB Country Canada Client City of Edmonton The North Light Rail Transit Project is a 3.3-kilometer extension of the existing light rail network in Edmonton, Alberta. Flatiron built 875 meters of the stretch under the city, in tunnels each about six meters in diameter. The first eleven months of the 15-month project consisted of tunnel excavation and removal of earth. The phase delivered by the US HOCHTIEF subsidiary was completed and handed over in June 2013.
