Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Situation: Cast iron roof drain system was installed in the 1970s and had aged, creating cracks and leaks. The system is 30 feet tall with a 4” diameter, and includes a “Y” connection and a 90-degree elbow. Solution: Wiring and pipes blocked access to the drain system, so traditional pipe replacement was not an option. Structural liner was installed inside the existing pipe system, covering pinhole leaks and preventing future corrosion and cracks. Operations inside the mall continued as normal.
