DUNFERMLINE SLUDGE TREA TMENT BEL T PRESS Ross-Shire Engineering were engaged by Scottish Water Managed Delivery late in 2016 to design, construct, and install a belt press in the Dunfermline Sludge Treatment Centre, complete with sludge handling and removal systems. The sludge removal system, included integral weighing systems for two sludge skips, modifi cations to the sludge process building, odour control modifi cations and refurbishment of the fi nal effl uent and potable water systems. In addition to the process elements, Ross- shire Engineering were also requested to design and install a new road access and associated footways for the removal of sludge skips.
