CASE STUDY Douglas County School DistrictOverview Douglas County School District (DCSD) is Colorado’s third-largest school district, serving more than 68,000 students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Approximately 7,000 students in the district receive special education services, delivered by 1,225 special educators, related service providers, and educational assistants. The Challenge Prior to the implementation of n2y’s Unique Learning System, DCSD did not have the resources or curriculum necessary to effectively educate students with moderate to severe cognitive disabilities.
