Double Skin Steel Partitioned Enclosure Build
Leeds based Avanta UK successfully tendered, designed, supplied and installed a bespoke steel enclosure for an International Company based in the North East of England. The 55m2 enclosure was constructed from double skin acoustic steel partitioning with an acoustic double skin ceiling. The enclosure was designed to house a punch press and achieve significant noise reduction. Therefore Avanta utilised a 50mm thick double skin steel panel with monobloc construction with two steel skins separated by a composite infill. This has resulted in a 32dB sound reduction. The enclosure has 2 single doors and a double door with vision panels. Avanta had to build around the electrical switchgear panels and build over the machine on one side.
