Project Experience Dong Energy Gunfleet Sands Phase 3 Offshore Windfarm The third phase of the Gunfleet Sands Offshore Windfarm is set 12km off the UK’s Essex coast. JDR was awarded a contract by DONG Energy to supply inter array cables, export cables and termination systems for the Gunfleet Sands project. Installed in autumn 2012, these JDR-developed cables have enabled the first utilisation of two Siemens Wind Power’s 6MW wind turbines. JDR was chosen as a key partner on this project due to our flexible approach and ability to offer a fast track response and delivery. The scope of work included the engineering, design and manufacture of over 12km of 33kV subsea inter array andexport cables.
