Northumberland County Council £26,000 Capital Funding November 2016 Northumberland County Council discovered a social stigma amongst young girls that discouraged them from being outdoors and active. As they are in their fundamental stages of muscle growth, the Council wanted to find a fun and unique solution to combat this before it began to show a detrimental effect on their health and wellbeing. Not only is it important for children to exercise to keep fit, it is also key at helping them develop their social skills. As a result, it was imperative that their investment also encouraged group play and was inclusive to all ages and abilities.
