Diamond Hill, Connemara National Park, 2010 Tanalised treated Larch and Douglas Fir Interesting Facts: • The construction of a walkway in a boggy, mountainous environment to allow general public access to Diamond Hill mountain and adjoining conservation areas whilst helping to prevent erosion and damge. • Tanalith ® E treated Larch and Douglas Fir boards were used - supplied by Aughrim Timber, Co Galway. • Tanalith ® E preservative was selected over other latest generation products because of the proven long- term protection against decay and insect attack, particularly in ground contact applications. • Project completed in 2006 - timber still performing well after 5 years in service in a very tough environment on the western sea-board of Ireland. www.archtp.com
