To combat escalating DDoS threats, Gcore collaborated with Intel and Wargaming to build its own high-performance DDoS filtering solution using 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and 100GbE Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter E810 cards. The in-house solution, integrated into Gcore’s 1,000-node CDN, replaced costly commercial software, doubling protection capacity without escalating license fees. Utilizing Intel® Hyperscan and Express Data Path (XDP) technologies, Gcore achieved filtering rates up to 400 Gbps per server, enhancing resilience against TCP SYN floods and complex UDP attacks, while also improving performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
