C ase S tudy July 2015 Challenge An assortment of outdated HVAC equipment at Decatur County Community Schools had become ine cient and expensive to operate. Pneumatic controls required the facilities manager to travel between four widespread school locations to manually maintain and adjust equipment, a time- consuming and di cult to manage process. The district sought to replace its outdated systems to improve comfort and the educational environment for students, as well as reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
