Photo: German Embassy Madrid. 1 In January 2013 the German School in Madrid (Colegio Alemán Madrid) began construction work on its new buildings in the Montecarmelo district. On an area of 34,700 square metres the construction project comprises a primary and secondary school for a total of 1500 pupils with an assembly hall, multi gymnasium, dining hall and cafeteria, a nursery school for around 300 children, and an underground car park. The new building is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2015. It will be equipped with cutting-edge technology.
