This case study explains how Miami Dade College (MDC), the largest undergraduate institution in the U.S. with over 165,000 students annually, adopted the Cyberbit Range to address Florida’s high cybersecurity job demand and limited supply of qualified professionals. MDC built the Cybersecurity Center of the Americas to embed hands-on, hyper-realistic SOC simulations into the curriculum from the first semester, so graduates complete hundreds of hours of real-world attack simulation experience. The program also develops critical communication skills for explaining breaches to executives, and extends training beyond students to professionals and corporate teams, helping standardize skill levels in the state’s IT community.
