The CRPF had functional areas namely Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Inventory and Personnel. These areas were plagued by the usual problems that beset a large organization’s manual system – • Cumbersome paper-based processes • Delayed deployment decisions • Dependency on individuals to clear tasks CRPF also faced technological challenges including extensive application security with a focus on mobile battalions, data replication across hierarchies and digital signature implementation. They found a web-based solution that helped the Central Reserve Police Force automate functions.
