Preface The downtown area of the growing town of London, Ontario, had implemented an out- door network of free public Wi-Fi. The London Area Wireless Network, aka the LAWN, covers one square kilometer of the cities downtown core. Using Cisco Meraki hardware, the Downtown London Business Improvement Area (BIA) deployed the first Wi-Fi access points in 2011 and in 2013 partnered with the City of London for the World Figure Skat- ing Championship
