Conjet Robot assists with Guri Dam spillway repairs Between 2009 and 2011, extensive repairs were made to the giant concrete structure of the Guri Dam spillways. The 10,235MW capacity Guri Hydroelectric Power Station in Venezuela is one of the world’s largest hydroelectric power generation schemes. The dam spillways have been in operation for over 30 years and the force of the fast flowing water and continuous exposure to the sun light and the environment have combined to erode the surface, resulting in caving and loosened concrete. Fapco C.A.; the local general and civil engineering contractor based in Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar carried out the renovation using a Conjet Robot 364 operating on a purpose built platform.
