A product vendor recently approached SecureState with for assistance with a compliance effort. The vendor uses embedded operating systems on custom-built hardware and conducts in-house software development. The vendor is engaging in a campaign to become compliant with Federal security control requirements. The effort of the campaign is intended to display the vendor’s security readiness.The client has a desire to show that they provide a secure solution which can operate within federal security requirements. As a result of this desire, the client has opted to show cross compliance with DoDI 8500.2 and NIST SP 800-53 Revision 3 security baselines.
