Community Relocation for Flood Protection PROJECT KLJ’s funding resources, public works, transportation, environmental, survey, and right-of-way teams worked together to create a master plan for relocating the city to higher ground while continuing to sustain services for existing residents and businesses. The master plan allowed local jurisdictions to diligently plan their approach to flood protection for homes, business, and the K-12 school located in the community. KLJ walked citizens through the relocation process involving multiple state and federal agencies. We also coordinated communication and public education efforts throughout the duration of the project.
