Previous Process: A nation-wide beef producer uses IDT Model 252 label printer applicators for case coding, but for printing their hamburger chub packaging they use Markem Imaje thermal transfer overprinters. Selection Criteria: The customer was dissatisfied with their Markem Imaje units because the packages had to be "bagged” for washdowns, even though the packages are in enclosures. They are also dissatisfied with the limited length of ribbon that is used in the Markem Imaje printers.
