Clayton Brook Masterplan
Clayton Brook Masterplan The Clayton Brook Development Framework was commissioned by English Cities Fund and the City of Manchester. It articulates a vision for a large portion of east Manchester, describing how it could be transformed from an industrial wasteland into a vibrant and sustainable mixed use urban district. In the masterplans, the main roads are upgraded to urban boulevards, two new metrolink stations are incorporated, and a bicycle and pedestrian route is extended to re-connect the area to Manchester’s city centre. Emphasis was placed upon making the best of the area’s historical, social, commercial and natural assets.
