The City of Riverside partnered with Insight to replace its aging storage infrastructure and strengthen disaster recovery. Insight designed and implemented a NetApp clustered Data ONTAP solution, adding a second system for offsite recovery. The migration of half a petabyte of data was completed seamlessly, off-hours, without disrupting city services. The new storage system nearly doubled capacity, reduced power and cooling costs, improved disaster recovery, and enhanced performance for critical systems like utilities and public safety. Riverside now operates on a flexible, scalable foundation that supports future digital innovation and smart city initiatives.
