Project: Churchland Library Location: Portsmouth, VA Architect: HBA, Virginia Beach Project Description: The state-of-the-art Churchland Library was constructed on the original site of a renowned local nursery. Adding more recreational and education opportunities to the area, the library features public use computers, technology education room with smartboard capability, a large children’s area with Storytelling room, a Teen Scene section, community meeting room, several small group rooms, and wireless internet access throughout. Designers preserved a nature theme throughout the new building using lots of wood, natural light, and a profusion of outdoor colors. 2be!
