China Unicom has embraced China’s dual carbon goals—carbon peak by 2030 and neutrality by 2060—by deploying Intel® Intelligent Energy Management in its data centers. In partnership with Intel, China Unicom uses AI-driven solutions on Intel® Xeon® processors to optimize power usage and improve server efficiency without changing software applications. The system leverages intelligent telemetry and predictive analytics to dynamically regulate CPU power based on workload, achieving a 28.6% energy saving in tests. This initiative supports sustainable development by lowering data center energy use and CO₂ emissions while maintaining high service performance standards.
