Cheyenne Train Depot Renovates Roof with EcoStar Tiles F or over a century, one of the main landmarks in downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming has been their historic train depot. Built in 1886, the station was a key point in America’s push to provide rail service from coast to coast. The depot offered train service until the 1960s when the depot portion was shut down and the building was used solely for Union Pacific Corporation office space. In the mid 1990s, private investors began restoring the depot to the 1922 art deco grandeur. At that time, they began a major structural renovation to stabilize and reinvigorate the building.
